ਵਿਦਿਆ ਵੀਚਾਰੀ ਤਾਂ ਪਰਉਪਕਾਰੀ ॥
'Contemplate and reflect upon knowledge,
And you will become a benefactor to others.'
- SGGS Ji Angh 356

These words spoken by Guru Nanak guides and inspire what we do here at the Trust. In order to honour the past we must first understand it. The teachings of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji are consumed with the aid of ground-breaking work from learned Giyannis (Priests), Scholars, Researchers, Historians and Academics from around the globe, which is then distilled into intuitive and stimulating presentations and papers to help us reflect upon the profound message of Sikhi.

In doing so we humbly aim to serve the Sikh people and inspire the next generation of leaders to sculpt the future with the tools provided by our Gurus.

The Trust's activities stand to serve the Sikhs, Sikh organisations and humanity more broadly. In addition to research, the Trust works hard to assist other charities (both Sikh and Non-Sikh to achieve their objectives); lays on exhibitions to celebrate Sikh heritage; works to connect the Sikh diaspora and actively campaigns on current human rights issues.
